We love Grape Street Piano Bar for their cozy and inviting lounge atmosphere and talented piano players. Another perk is that you can rent the entire bar out for large parties. The bartender and waitresses are all very friendly, and the drinks are fantastic. The live music begins at 8:00 PM each night. Located just a block off the Magnificent Mile.

The Joynt has live music six nights per week, and with many different rooms to enjoy, you'll be treated to several different kinds of music. The Jazz Lounge is incredibly comfortable, and you can't beat the quality of the music here. If you're interested in the other rooms, they have The Grand Bar, The Retro Club, The Lounge, and The Outdoor Cafe. Four different live music venues and three different dancefloors! This is a very popular live music venue in the Chicago area, so get in there early if you plan to get a seat, and be sure to check their website for the current schedule.

There's never any cover charge at the Zebra Lounge, and this small piano bar has a very loyal patronage thanks to their friendly bartender and attentive staff. The music is top notch, with all the piano bar classics from old rat pack standards to Billy Joel and everything in between. The decor is strictly zebra here, with lots of black and white stripes. They claim that the lounge opened the day that Prohibition was repealed, so it's got a rich history. The early evenings are subdued and mellow here, but late nights on the weekends are really lively! We love the cozy atmosphere and the wonderful vibe. Affordable drink prices too.

Howl at the Moon is by far one of the very best piano bars in the Chicago area! This just may be the most popular one too. The atmosphere is lively and the music is nothing short of fantastic. They've got a large dance floor, delicious food and drinks, and even outdoor seating when the weather is warm. It's nice to take advantage of their daily drink specials, and they've got giant bucket drinks too! The musicians here will play any song that you request, and if by chance they don't know it, they'll learn it on a break and still get the job done for you! We absolutely love the vibe, the crowd, and the staff at this fine establishment. In business since 1989 for a reason!

The Redhead Piano Bar is the place that you can rely on any night of the week. They're open seven days, and open late too! Until 4:00 AM on the weekdays and 5:00 AM on Saturdays. You'll never pay any cover charge here. The atmosphere is very upscale, and they do have a business casual dress code that people adhere to. You'll want to look sharp when you visit this piano lounge! We come for the music and stay for the martinis. You can rent the bar out for private parties if you like. They have a more sophisticated crowd here that really appreciates good music and good times.

Coq D'Or was only the second bar to open up in 1933 after Prohibition was repealed, and it has kept that same old fashioned charm ever since. This is probably the most authentic piano bar you'll find, with its original decor and more mature crowd. It's also one of the only hotel bars to still offer live music. They have extremely friendly staff and very experienced musicians. You'll really enjoy the top notch service, the deliciously concocted drinks... and of course, the excellent live piano music.
